Music can carry a territory far beyond its borders.
Presented in Ottawa, De Mar y Río brought the sound, movement and cultural memory of Colombia’s Pacific region.
Through marimba, percussion, voice and collective performance, the evening became more than a concert. It was an encounter with a living tradition—one shaped by community, ancestry and the relationship between music and place.
